Happy Holidays! Have a peaceful holiday season.

Note and Inspirational Quote
For those in the U.S., I hope you had a
wonderful, restful Thanksgiving. I also
hope you had a chance to give thanks
for the wonderful things you have in your
life, as I mentioned in my November “Take
the time” article.
This month’s “Food
for Thought” continues this idea.
Here’s our inspirational quote for the month:
"It's never too late to be what you might have been." George
Eliot
What a powerful thought!
As you review what you’ve accomplished in 2006, take some time
to think ahead and consider where you’re
going and the person you
would like to be. And remember … it’s never too late.
Get inspired to do something you’ve been putting off. Begin
today and make 2007 a fantastic year for change.
At the end of your life, would you rather say “I tried and
failed” or “I never tried”? I know what my answer
would be. What will you strive for in 2007?
My best regards,
Hallie Crawford

Last month I wrote about the importance of taking time to give thanks
for the gifts in your life -- and not to be so intent upon getting
everything done on your “Holiday To Do List.”
If you watched the Larry King Live show last month, you’ll
know he had two episodes on the power of positive thinking.
The panelists were participants in the movie The
Secret and they
all agreed that positive thoughts are what
activates the Law of Attraction in your
life.
Focusing on what you are grateful for by writing a gratitude list
generates positive thoughts. It puts you not only in a state of appreciation
but also in a position to attract abundance. Your mind and energy
are focused in a positive direction towards what you want.
If you focus on what you want in a positive way, you are more likely
to create those things in your life. This goes from material things
to improved relationships, money, peace of mind, anything we want
more of in our lives. When you focus, you are open to the many possible
ways to make your dreams materialize and you become inspired to do
those things.
So be thankful towards your friends and family this season, and begin
to live in a place of abundance and appreciation more frequently in
your life. I use these principles myself and with my clients and have
seen amazing, tangible results.

Career Corner - Find your courage
Choosing
a career path that's right for you
is a process. Here's a tip that can
help you get started.
Okay, I’m a little quote happy this month. I’ve got
another one for you —
"Life shrinks and expands in proportion to one’s courage." Anais
Nin
I think this is so true. I know that when I am feeling courageous
and more confident, I make things happen. I’m more willing to
step out of my comfort zone and take a risk to do what I need to do
to make a change in my life towards something I want.
Career transition takes courage. It’s a change, and change
can be scary. There are many things you
can do to successfully manage your career
transition (I have a new F-r-e-e
Articles page on
my website to help you do just this!).
One of the key elements you have to tap
into is your courage. We all have it -
sometimes it’s
just buried under disempowering beliefs,
negative past experiences or fear of change.
Imagine you can move those things aside
in your mind, as if you’re moving aside a big brick wall. What
do you see on the other side? Where is
your courage and how can you tap into it more?
One of my career
teleclass clients,
Anna Vacca, recently wrote a fabulous
testimonial about the class on her MySpace
page. I was SO flattered!
It took courage for Anna to realize it
was time to make a change. Learn from what
Anna has accomplished so far in her “Client Success
Story."

My
career
teleclass client Anna Vacca wrote a
wonderful testimonial about being in my
class. Here are the tips from her story that
can help you.
Tip #1: See the silver lining
Anna was able to see the silver lining in
being laid off from her job.
"I was working in a job I couldn't stand. Until luckily
enough I got laid off. What to do? I didn't have
a clue. I just knew I didn't want to go
back..."
She realized that getting laid off was actually one of the best
things that happened to her. When something negative happens to
you, ask yourself-what’s the possible silver lining here?
Tip # 2: Have courage
Anna realized that she would be okay and
that she would be able to find another job. She found the courage
inside herself to create a new path and not just jump into another
unfulfilling job. I am so proud of her. It takes courage to admit
you're unhappy and decide to take steps towards fixing it. This
is your life. If you are unhappy, find the courage to do something
about it. Buy a book for motivation, ask a friend for support,
hire a coach,just do something.
Tip #3: Invest in yourself, take the time
With her courage, Anna is investing in
herself. She is taking the time to figure out what she does want
to do long term and investing in herself by taking my class.
“It was overwhelming, and hard to find a place to start.
I'd never really had the time to ever think "What would I
really enjoy doing" but then another thought comes to mind "what
would I enjoy doing AND get paid enough to actually do it?"… “So
I read everything I could to figure it out, to really do something
to help myself during such a confusing time.”
Tip #4: Take action
Take action towards your dream career.
Even small steps are better than standing still.
"I've never felt so good about where I'm headed… This
[Hallie's
Career Seekers Teleclass] is
a perfect place to start if you're just
feeling stuck or unhappy with your career
or position in life."
You can do it! You don't have
to settle for less than a job you truly
enjoy.
Good luck! Hallie
